I had the privilage to attend one of Joy Prouty's Wildflower workshops and this family was nothing short of a dream to photograph. It was a humid & warm day under the glorious Texas sun. We danced, laughed and explored the beautiful Austin prairie land where Joy lived. It was full of adventure and learning and beauty. It truly changed my photography for the better and I can't wait for the reunion! Here are some shots from our family session together.
I love this family right here. We went to the Arbor Hill's Nature Perserve In Plano, TX and it was GLORIOUS. I was so consumed by the sun on this particular day. It was calling me, calling us. Here's some of the magic we made...
Fresh 48 Sessions are some of my most favorite sessions to do. They are just so magical and divine and always, ALWAYS produce the most organic moments within a family. Check out some of my favorite shots from the Posey family.
Photographing Birthing Sessions and Fresh 48 Sessions are my absolute favorite sessions. Capturing new life is so divine and magical in a way that is hard to describe. Baby Ross was a trooper this day. His last day in the hospital before going to his new home with his sweet family. There were tests, and check ups and medication for him to get before leaving and I was there to capture some very real and organic shots with the family.... check out some shots from their beautiful session.
So this session is extra special to me. This is our family... Brad's cousin, Chad and his lovely wife Allison asked if I could do Fall pictures for them, and of course I couldn't wait. It was early morning and the sun was just coming above the horizon to create the most glorious light against the morning clouds. The kids were hilarious and full of energy and Chad & Allison just went with the flow... enjoying the moments. It was beautiful and I just love them so much.
We had such a beautiful time at this session. The Texas bluebonnets were in full bloom and the yellow wildflowers covered the ground like a blanket. Laughter and togetherness were full and overflowing within this family and the images show just that. We explored the land around us and paused for a bit to create art with bare hands. It was lovely and touched my heart to it's core....
Kyleight was asked to take photos for Tongue & Cheek Clothing. When she called me I was more than thrilled to plan a shoot with her and this brand. We had such a great time in downtown Shreveport. Here are some shots from our time together..
This family was just a dream to work with. Their connection and energy along with their desire to capture their family organically undeniably shows in the images. I love it when families aren't consumed by having their hair perfect in every shot, or worried about if they looked and smiled at the camera enough. These sessions are always the most magical to me & I am so grateful that Sarah trusted me with documenting the love that they all share. I hope you enjoy their images just as much as I loved taking them.
This girl right here is just magic. We had such a fun time at her session in Plano, Tx and a sunset that did not disappoint. Macie was able to graduate early so she could start her first semester at Texas A & M and play for the girl's soccer team. How rad is that? Congrats on your accomplishments girl, I know you will knock em' dead!
